Download the latest .apk from the GitHub Releases page.
🪟 Windows
Download the Windows-Portable.zip or the .exe installer from the Releases page.
🐧 Linux
Option 1: Flatpak (Recommended — Sandboxed & Universal)
Download the ShonenX-linux-x86_64.flatpak bundle from the Releases page and install:
flatpak install --user ShonenX-linux-x86_64.flatpak
Run with:
flatpak run com.roshancodespace.shonenx
(Flatpak bundles all native multimedia dependencies such as libmpv in an isolated sandbox, ensuring seamless playback across any distribution, including Steam Deck / SteamOS, Fedora Silverblue, Arch, and Ubuntu).
Option 2: Universal Install Script
We provide an interactive shell installation script for Linux. It fetches the latest release, configures desktop shortcuts, registers URL protocol handlers, and sets up your PATH automatically:

Note: You can run this same command again to update or uninstall ShonenX safely!
Option 3: AppImage & Portable Zip
Download ShonenX-linux-x86_64.AppImage or ShonenX-linux.zip directly from GitHub Releases.
macOS & iOS (⚠️ Highly Experimental)

macOS and iOS builds are HIGHLY EXPERIMENTAL.
Builds for macOS and iOS might be present in releases or might not be available at all, even if a release is marked stable for other platforms. Expect potential bugs, quirks, and manual sideloading/signing requirements.
🛠️ Build from Source
Prerequisites: Flutter SDK ≥3.8.1, Git, Rust
- Linux Dependencies: Building on Linux requires GTK,
libmpv, and libwpewebkit (Ubuntu/Debian: sudo apt install libgtk-3-dev libmpv-dev libwpewebkit-1.0-dev, Arch Linux: sudo pacman -S gtk3 mpv wpewebkit). See the Local Setup Guide for details.
